、It is shown, for cohesionless soil, change of some parameters results in big sinkage, but others are not.

、The further investigation of the formula shows that it can be used to determine the coefficient of earth pressure at rest of cohesionless soil.

、The conclusion is suggested for the case of cohesionless soils preferably.

、The ground pressure distribution and the shape of failure surface by conducting model tests for the cylindrical retaining wall of a shaft in cohesionless soils are discussed.

、This method may be of more practical significance to saturated cohesionless soils, sensitive clays and Marine sediments which are easily disturbed while sampling.
